A few minutes spent on preventive healthcare today can be an important step towards a healthier tomorrow. ❤️
As part of Project Sunkalp, a cancer screening camp was conducted at Koovathur PHC, Madurantakam, bringing essential screening services closer to the local community.
A total of 62 beneficiaries came forward for screening, including 21 men and 41 women.
The camp provided:
• 34 iBreast Examinations
• 58 Oral Examinations
• 10 Pap Smear Tests
Cancer may not always show noticeable warning signs in its early stages. Regular screening can help identify suspicious changes early and encourage timely medical consultation and follow-up.
For many communities, accessing specialised healthcare can be challenging due to distance, cost, time, or limited awareness. Project Sunkalp is working to bridge this gap by bringing cancer screening services closer to people through local healthcare facilities and community-based camps.
Every person who comes forward for screening is taking a proactive step towards understanding and protecting their health. The participation of 41 women also highlights the importance of making breast and cervical cancer screening accessible within the community.
Through Project Sunkalp, Kalpavriksham Trust continues to work with PHCs, local communities, healthcare professionals, and CSR partners to expand access to cancer screening across Madurantakam.
